Dietary fiber can keep you full, improve your overall health, and help you to lose weight. With these tips to add more to your diet, you can look and feel your best. Fiber comes in two varieties: Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water. It is found in whole grains, wheat cereals, and vegetables like carrots, celery, and tomatoes. Soluble fiber dissolves in water. It contains barley, oatmeal, beans, nuts, and fruits like apples, berries, citrus fruits, and pears. To increase your fiber intake you could : Choose a high fiber breakfast with wholegrain cereal Go for whole meal or seeded wholegrain breads, wheat pasta, bulgur wheat or brown rice. Keep a supply of frozen vegetables so you are never without. Go for potatoes with skins e.g. baked potato, wedges or boiled new potatoes, hot or use for a salad.
